A cartoon bear who lost his hair from chemo is among the characters used to ease sick children's worries

A clever virtual-reality programme is putting nervous children at ease by showing the simplicity of common medical procedures.

A seven-minute film features three cartoon characters who have treatment from Roomi, a doctor rabbit with a jetpack who flies in to treat his patients in a virtual world.

Children sit through the short educational message to help ease their anxiety before having the same procedure as that of the character they watched through a headset.

Symed had sponsored an event on 18^th May 2017 at the JW Marriot Marquis Dubai to enforce and promote the use of automated 3-D Breast ultrasound as a Promising Adjunctive Screening Tool for examining Dense Breast. The course covered a clinic value of the ABUS (Automated Breast Ultrasound) in screening and diagnostics. The participants were able to learn how to acquire images and establish standard view protocol as well as hands on training. 

Symed has attended the annual GE distributors meeting. This meeting aims to provide an in-depth view of all the latest technology, unique software and hardware features providing up to date knowledge of the entire GE Ultrasound portfolio. During this meeting, Symed has proudly received the 'GE Belief Heroes’ award for the high level of performance over the past year.

The annual GE Healthcare Distributor Training was held from: 10^th – 13^th of April 2017 at the Viceroy Yas Abu Dhabi Hotel . During this event, Symed has been awarded with a distinguished trophy titled “Customers Determine Our Success” in recognition of Symed’s dedication, growth in a declining market and repeated successes! The exhibition hosted leading suppliers, manufacturers and service providers of the women's health industry to discuss the latest technologies and trends in the market. Symed L.L.C team along with GE Healthcare have successfully organized the new launch of the “Automated Breast Ultrasound System – Invenia ABUS” to an elite key opinion doctors/customers from UAE and the Gulf region. The event took place on the 10th of September, 2015 at Al Bustan Rotana in Dubai. SYMED along with GE Healthcare has participated in EULAR “European League Against Rheumatism” in Abu Dhabi between the period of 14th-16th of October, 2015.
